New Music is Coming...
Monday, December 4, 2017
From USA Today

ASBURY PARK, N.J. — The new year means new music for Bon Jovi, said frontman Jon Bon Jovi during a Facebook Live on Thursday.
“We’re going to put out a couple of new songs to share with you for the new year,” said Bon Jovi. “I think they’re pretty good. Just two tracks to support what we hope to be sharing with you in 2018.”
Bon Jovi then gave a telling wink.
The new music will be the band’s follow up to This House Is Not for Sale, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s album chart when it was released in November 2016.
Later in the broadcast, Bon Jovi said that current events will inform one of the songs.
“The current news has obviously been filtered for the past year to a place where I’m able to process some of it and put melodies to it, so there is some mention without being too opined,” Bon Jovi said. “It’s definitely prevalent in one of the two new songs.
“The world’s gone crazy — I’m looking to you guys, the next generation, to reinvent the wheel,” Bon Jovi said. “Be the future you want to be because we’re counting on you. It’s not being political if you’re worried about taking care of the planet that we live on and the people around you. We’re all more alike than we are different.”
Bon Jovi took a handful of questions that were posted to the band’s Facebook page and answered them for about 15 minutes. He spoke about maybe someday bringing the story of Tommy and Gina to Broadway, his growth as a songwriter and what the band has been rehearsing as of late.
Bon Jovi is expected to tour in 2018.
Songs from “These Days and a lot of the album tracks form ‘Keep the Faith,” Bon Jovi said of the rehearsal material. “We’ve been playing Dry Country again and Blaze of Glory, These Days and Hey God, so the rehearsals are feeling really great.”
The current lineup includes David Bryan on keyboards, Tico Torres, drums; Hugh McDonald, bass; Everett Bradley, percussion and backing vocals; and Phil Xenidis and John Shanks on guitars.
Bon Jovi also thanked fans for the more than 1 million fan votes they’ve received for possible induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
“I came here to say thanks for exceeding a million votes with another week to go,” Bon Jovi said. “It’s really nice that our friends out there who supported the band for such a long time are having their voices heard. It’s been fun.”
Bon Jovi is one of 19 nominees for the Rock Hall’s Class of 2018. The top five fan voted acts will compose a fan’s ballot that will count as one of the ballots.
Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, Kate Bush, the Cars, Dire Straits, Eurythmics, J. Geils Band, LL Cool J, MC5, the Meters, the Moody Blues, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Link Wray and The Zombies are this year’s other nominees.
The 2018 inductees will be announced later this month and inducted on April 14 in Cleveland. Fans can vote once a day for their favorites through Tuesday at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s web site, rockhall.com/vote.
“Fingers crossed,” Bon Jovi said. “We’ll find out in the next couple of weeks.” Read more...

Jon Bon Photo-bomber

I kinda have to agree with one of the commernters on the article that, because one of the mom's asked him to be in the pic, he didn't really photo-bomb the shoot. Still, it's cute.
Musician Jon Bon Jovi photobombs LI mom’s company photo shoot
In an unexpected “epic photo bomb,” musician Jon Bon Jovi jumped into a photo shoot with kids modeling rock and roll clothes for a Long Island mompreneur’s company, making bunny ears above one boy’s head.

Richie on Comedy Central...
Monday, March 27, 2017
So, Richie made an appearance, sans Orianthi, on the Comedy Channel last week on The Comedy Jam:
As we prepare for Bon Jovi's return to Wells Fargo Center on March 31, we found this entertaining moment in which Comedy Central's Chris Hardwick tells a fun story about an interaction with Tom Cruise and then breaks into a jam of 'Dead or Alive' with Richie Sambora. Hardwick's costume certainly brings up back to the 80's.
Fun stuff right there...
As an aside, I thought Richie looked and sounded really good.
I miss him... Read more...

Metallica Sings Rihanna, Blake Shelton Sings Bon Jovi in ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Trailer
Apple Music has released another trailer for Carpool Karaoke: The Series.
As with the first one, Metallica are featured, but instead of singing “Master of Puppets,” they’re going against type with Rihanna‘s “Diamonds in the Sky.” You can watch the clip above, and it also features, among others, country star Blake Shelton and Chelsea Handler belting out Bon Jovi‘s “Livin’ on a Prayer” in a bar.
The show, which will premiere exclusively through Apple Music, is an expansion on the viral video series that began on The Late, Late Show With James Corden. Metallica’s segment throws actor/comedian Billy Eichner (Difficult People, Parks and Recreation) into the mix. The five of them made headlines two months ago when they were caught by TMZ going into a supermarket and breaking into “Enter Sandman” at the deli counter. At the time, it was believed they were filming an episode of Eichner’s show Billy on the Street.
Corden, who serves as one of the executive producers, has lined up an impressive group of A-list guests for his show. In addition to Metallica and Shelton, the trailer hints at appearances by John Legend, Alicia Keys, Will Smith and Ariana Grande. They’re not restricting the cast to singers, either. NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, professional wrestler John Cena and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal are also in the mix, with the latter two humorously struggling to fit into the car.
It is not yet known when Apple plans to officially debut the series.

Jon Bon Jovi surprises cancer patient with kiss

The rocker surprised Carol Cesario, who is fighting stage 4 lung cancer, by joining her and her family for dinner. He came up behind Cesario, rubbed her back and kissed her before sitting down for two hours.
Cesario's family was in on the surprise.
"We kept it a secret for almost a month," said Cesario's daughter, Rosie Skripkunis, to the Asbury Park Press. "It was worth it keeping it from her."
Bon Jovi, had dinner, gave Cesario a guitar, and treated the family to a preview of the upcoming Bon Jovi album, "This House is Not For Sale."
"What you did for our family is amazing and we are so grateful," Skripkunis ofEphrata, PA. said on Facebook. "This has been one of the best days of our family's life. Seeing my mom this happy filled me with so much joy. I still can not believe this happened. Jon is an amazing human. We appreciate everything he did for our mom and for our family today."
A GoFundMe page has been established for Cesario to help defray medical costs.
The B.E.A.T. Center on Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of Toms River. B.E.A.T., an acronym for “Bringing Everyone All Together,” opened in May and is a community hub where families and individuals in need can access food, job training and other resources.

Jon Bon Jovi Stars at Bob Kraft’s Surprise 75th Birthday Party
The night began with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before comedian Tracy Morgan took the stage — and promptly left. Morgan’s jokes, which included some not-so-funny jabs at Tom Brady, who was among the guests, didn’t go over too well with the crowd; he got few laughs and walked off the stage barely 10 minutes into his set. Kraft, ever the gracious host, brought Morgan back on stage and apologized for the crowd’s lackluster response. The Daily Bitch...
