American Idol...

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Ah yes, American Idol started its 8th season last night. There weren't as many crazy oddballs who think they can sing showcased last night. A couple, but hey you gotta have a few just to make you wonder what the hell they were thinking, right?

There were a few that impressed, twenty some that got put thru and a girl in a bikini that made it to the next round but I'm not sure she'll get much further. The one that got me was the young man that auditioned last (for the life of me I cannot remember his name, Scott I think, but his story stuck with me). He is, for all intents and purposes, blind (he says is has slight tunnel vision and when he sits at the piano he can see the width of one piano key) he started college at 14 and graduated at 19. He dances (ballroom) and hasn't let his handicap stop him from doing the things he loves to do. I hope he makes it to the voting rounds at least.

My big issue last night, they used Wanted Dead or Alive as their showcase song for the the worst singers they found in Phoenix. Don't get me started on how many didn't know the words to the song let along trying to find the right key to sing it in. Jeesh! Why do they torture us like that? At least when they had all the people in the arena singing it wasn't so bad. Please, please, please don't let them do that again!

Out and About...

Monday, January 12, 2009

Found this pic floating around. Jon and Dot out and about in NYC. From the comments I have been seeing about this pic, the vote is about 50-50 on Dot's coat. What do you think? I think it's cute, but I could never wear it. My ass is large enough without a flouncy emphasis.

And, from the way he's got his hands shoved in his pockets I'd guess he's got not gloves. A man with his kind of money should be able to afford a pair, don't ya think? And please, don't get me started on the hat. It's time for a new one wouldn't you say?
Sorry for the snarkiness, it's been one of those days. *sigh*

About Me

My photo
I am and always have been a Bon Jovi fan. This blog is just my obsession taken a step further, my imagination in high gear if you will. I love to read and decided to see what would happen when I took that love of the written word and ramped it up a bit.
