Multi-Platinum Quintet to Perform Outside Sun Life Stadium During the NFL's Official Pregame Party, Which Will Be Broadcast on CBS

Daughtry Will Launch Second Leg of Its Arena Tour March 18 in Baltimore

MIAMI, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- After finishing its successful European tour Monday, Daughtry announces it will perform this Sunday at the NFL's Super Tailgate Party outside Sun Life Stadium before the kick off of Super Bowl XLIV.

Singer Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely plan to perform a 45 minute set of music including their current hit single "Life After You" and material from the band's second #1 album Leave This Town.

Daughtry's performance will be broadcast on CBS during the network's extensive pregame coverage and is expected to air at approximately 3:45 pm Eastern. The multi-platinum quintet joins a star-studded lineup that includes Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Steve Winwood.

"It's been a crazy week," says Chris Daughtry. "Last week we were playing in Germany and now we're in Miami for the Super Bowl. I can't think of a better way to get ready for the game than playing to fans who are pumped up for the big game."

Next month, Daughtry will begin the second leg of its U.S. arena tour with its March 18 show at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore. The tour is currently scheduled to end June 20 in Trenton, NJ at the Sun National Bank Center.

Daughtry fans can pre-order tickets for upcoming shows online at www.daughtryofficial.com, where they can also locate tour and ticket information.

Friday Funnies...

So I found this website and was able to download every single Calvin & Hobbes comic strip starting way back in 1985. I posted the very first one last week and will continue posting one every Friday for the foreseeable future. I know this isn't Bon Jovi related, but I just adore Calvin & Hobbes and hope you find them endearing too.

Happy Birthday...

How could this happen
How can it be
My baby is no longer a baby
Today he turned … thirteen…

*sigh*

Where on earth has the time gone? Wasn’t it just yesterday I was changing diapers and warming bottles? Drying tears and kissing boo boos? Now I have to remind him to close the bathroom door and put on his deodorant in the mornings.

It used to be his biggest dilemma was whether to watch Blues Clues or Little Bear. Now he wants to stay up and watch Two and a Half Men or just that one more quarter of the Monday Night Football game. And when did he go from playing with Hot Wheels and Power Rangers to being interested only in his DSi and the Wii?

I know it was bound to happen one day, but I just didn’t think it would be so soon. I miss the cuddles and the kisses just because. Now it’s “aw jeez mom”, an eye roll and a smart aleck remark for just about everything.

No more bedtime stories, no more footie pajamas, no more cartoon character underwear. He’s a boxer short type of guy and wears a t-shirt and pajama pants for sleeping. He handles homework on his own and takes out the trash. His friends call and he runs out the door with a “later mom” instead of the “bye mommy” it used to be.

I was lucky enough to see his all important firsts: the first words, the first step, the first day of kindergarten. I wonder how many other firsts I will witness through his eyes. I know the first girl is out there waiting for his first date and the first dance, the first time he drives the car by himself. I can’t make time stop, but I sure wish it would slow down just a little.

I miss the little boy he once was and while it makes me a little sad to see him growing up, I am looking forward to seeing him become the man he is destined to be.

I want to say Happy Birthday Little Man, but that title doesn’t quite fit him anymore. He’s nearly as tall as me now (I’m 5’6”), so I guess it’s time for a new moniker for him. Then again, he’ll always be my baby so I guess I can continue to call him “Little Man” for a while longer, right?

Everyone remembers who won American Idol last season, right? Kris Allen. Well my pick was the young man who ended up coming in third. Danny Gokey. Well, I just got this in my e-mail. He apparently has signed with RCA Nashville and has a brand new video! Here it is for all who are interested.

About Me

My photo
I am and always have been a Bon Jovi fan. This blog is just my obsession taken a step further, my imagination in high gear if you will. I love to read and decided to see what would happen when I took that love of the written word and ramped it up a bit.
