How about Hugh?

If you remember, yesterday I had a tiny tribute to Richie here on my blog. I had an anonymous poster ask about Huey. She got me to thinking. The poor man never gets recognized. I searched the internet and found a few pics, but he is so much in the background it was hard to find much of anything. Where is the love for this gifted bassist?
So, for you my anonymous commenter, here are a few facts about your man Hugh... according to Wikipedia anyway...
Hugh McDonald (born December 28, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a session musician and bassist. He has played with many artists both live and in the studio, and has recorded with Willie Nelson, Richie Sambora, Steve Goodman, Ringo Starr, Bon Jovi, Lita Ford, Michael Bolton, Cher, Alice Cooper, Jon Bon Jovi, Ricky Martin, and others.
He is currently working with Bon Jovi and has been doing so since Alec John Such's departure after 'Cross Road' was released in 1994, but is still regarded as an 'unofficial' member of Bon Jovi. Although he records with the band in studio and performs live on stage and during publicity performances, McDonald is left out of publicity shoots and album covers. Band members say they agreed never to officially replace former bass player Alec John Such. He has appeared on Bon Jovi singer Jon Bon Jovi's solo album Destination Anywhere, and recorded on one of Bon Jovi's original demos, Runaway.
His childhood inspiration was Paul McCartney

And don't forget that Hugh was the bassist on Runaway before Alec John Such ever entered the picture.
I have a soft spot for Huey.... always have. He's a riot to watch (when I happen to see him if Jon's nearby... LOL)
Huey is my favorite band's member, hehe! Even though I 'crush' upon Jon / Richie ;)
I prefer to stay anonymous, but you can call me Xiri.
I found it so much fun to read his website. Does he update it still?
Such cute images you chose for him.
