In my Google Alerts I found articles stating that Arena Football has canceled the 2009 season. The Goddess posted an article on her blog this morning too. So, being curious about all the rumors that have been flying around, I went right to the Arena Football website (Arena Football) to find out what was what. This is what I found...
Board of Directors does not suspend 2009 season

NEW YORK – Despite rumors and reports to the contrary, the Arena Football League Board of Directors has not suspended the 2009 season at this time. The Board met via conference call this evening.
The Board will continue to meet regularly to examine any and all long-term structural improvement options for the AFL.
I think I'll wait and see what comes this week before I decide to be disappointed.
