Sober Richie Sambora Is 'Fantastic' After Rehab Stint
Rocker Richie Sambora is feeling "fantastic" seven months into his latest bid at sobriety, confessing he checked into rehab earlier this year (11) because he needed a "tune up".
The guitarist turned to professionals at an undisclosed facility in Los Angeles in April (11) to seek help for alcohol addiction and exhaustion, but he was back on the road with his Bon Jovi bandmates in early June (11) and Sambora insists the treatment stint has worked wonders for him.
Asked how his sobriety is going, he tells WENN, "Fantastic... I couldn't be any better... I just needed to make sure that I was on the straight and narrow and I needed a tune up and that's what I did and that worked out well."
The rock star previously checked into rehab to tackle his drinking problem in 2007.
