A Night to Remember, Part II...

Sunday, August 1, 2010

If you missed part one, you can read it here.

The laughter in his eyes turned to lust as the door clicked quietly shut behind them.   “Make yourself comfortable darlin’” he told her as he moved past her.  His fingers grazed her bare arm as he went, raising goose bumps as his touch fluttered across her skin.

Setting her purse on the table, Stephanie looked around the room that was surprisingly similar to her own.  She had expected something more opulent maybe?

She turned as the quiet music floated around her, finding Richie standing just a step away from her.  “Nice room.”

He shrugged, “it’s a place to hang my hat while I’m here.”  He held out his hand, “come here.”

Stepping toward him, she put her hand in his and just like that she was swept into a gentle embrace.  They drifted in a slow dance that moved them in a lazy circle.  The nerves she thought she’d have with him, knowing what was going to happen, weren’t there.  She only felt a longing for him low in her belly, a need like she hadn’t felt in much too long.  She slid her hand up from his bicep to his shoulder, thrilled at the strength she found there.  “You’ve been working out.”

He nodded as he dipped his head.  His lips caressed her jaw, sliding up to her ear.  “It’s something to do during the downtime.”   His long fingers tangled in the ends of her hair, tugging her head back gently.  He sipped along the elegant line of her neck, her scent, musk and anticipation, made him want to rush to the finish.  Her soft purrs and sighs, the real honest to god reaction that he hadn’t gotten from a woman in much too long, had him digging for the control to slow things down.

Breathing deep he brushed his lips along her jaw and up, across her forehead.  His hands slid up her sides, thumbs brushing the heavy curve of her breast.  At her sharp gasp he changed direction, his hands settling on her waist.  His fingers teasing the soft skin of her lower back.

He hadn't figured her for an easy mark.  The short time they had spent talking down in the bar had assured him she wasn't.  He had gotten the impression that, like him, she was interested in a little companionship, someone to carry on a conversation with, get physical with; someone to fill up the long, lonely hours til morning.  He had gotten the sense that she was maybe a little lost and alone like he himself sometimes was.  Dipping his head his lips found hers.  "You sure about this darlin'?"

The heat, the jolt of his lips on hers spread through her like a wildfire.  Was she sure?  Hell no.  This had to be the craziest thing she had ever done.  But dammit, she hadn't been with a man in nearly a year and she felt the need for him in every nook and corner of her body.  It was long past time she got naked with someone again.  She was going to do this and not be sorry about it tomorrow.  Her lips brushed his.  "Oh yes."

His mouth moved over hers, insistent, hungry.  He growled low when her mouth opened, inviting him in.  Angling his head his tongue swept inside, tasting, exploring.  Her flavor was crisp and sweet, as intoxicating as the wine she'd drunk earlier.  The heat between them grew as the kiss went on, pushing him forward, moving them both toward the bed.

The backs of her knees hit the bed and she fell back, pulling Richie with her, their mouths never parting.  He rolled, pulling her half on top of him, his hands sliding her shirt up.  He pulled his mouth from hers long enough to drag the shirt over her head.  Before he could get his mouth back on hers, he felt her hands on him, pushing at his shirt.  He took over the task, tossing it to the floor.  Her small, warm hands felt like heaven.  It had been a long time since he had enjoyed the touch of a woman.  His mouth sought out hers again, needing her taste once more.

His lips traveled her cheek, down her neck.  Rolling to his side he pressed her back on the bed so he could just look at her.  Her skin was golden from the sun and there was a light dusting of freckles across her toned shoulders.  He traced a path across her collarbone, lightly circling the hollow of her neck, traveling over the swell of her breasts that threatened to spill over the creamy cups of her bra.  She was all soft skin and supple curves and he couldn't wait to lose himself in every bit of her.  "You are so beautiful Stephanie."  Lowering his head his mouth moved over her, tasting his way across her chest, popping open the front of her bra with his teeth.

Picking her head up she watched him as he moved, sucking in a breath when her bra popped open.  Her head thunked back on the bed when his lips grazed the soft curve and he circled a stiffened nipple with his tongue.  Her hips rocked up to meet his in response to every tug of his lips.  He was hard as a rock.  Sliding a hand between them she managed to open his pants and slip her hand inside.  He was big.  She stroked him lightly, secretly thrilled that, from the feel of things, every rumor, every story she had ever heard about him seemed to be true.

Feeling his fingers at the button of her jeans she raised her hips so he could get them over her hips.  Closing her eyes she thanked the stars that she had finally shed that last stubborn ten pounds.  Being naked with a man was one thing, but when that man was Richie Sambora, it was entirely different.  His hands were moving again, leaving a trail of fire everywhere he touched.  His fingers found the scar that rode low on her abdomen.  "What happened here darlin'?

She raised her head looking from his fingers to his face.  "Appendectomy when I was 12."

He traced it with his tongue.  "Poor baby."

"Oh God" she moaned when he did it again.

Hooking his fingers in the lace edge of her panties he slid them away, finding a flower of freckles at her hip and a tiny patch of dark hair shielding her from him.  His mouth traveled slowly over her skin, savoring her taste, exploring every glorious inch of her.  Parting her lovely thighs she blossomed like a flower for him, her sweet nectar there for the taking.  His tongue swept over her, lingering on the bud of nerves that had her muscles shuddering around him.

"God Richie" she moaned as his mouth pushed her toward the peak.  When his tongue slipped inside, spots danced in front of her eyes.  When he worried her clit again her world exploded and the scream was ripped from her throat.

Scrambling to stand, he dug for a condom and shucked his pants.  Protecting them both he slipped back between those delicious thighs, pressing into her in one slow, steady thrust.  He had to close his eyes and dig deep for control.  Christ she felt so damn good, as if she had been made just for him.  Bracing his weight on his elbows, he moved his hips slightly, just barely moving in her, savoring her warm, velvety tightness.

She had never before felt so full.  Lifting her legs, she hugged him tightly, letting him slip just a little deeper, sending tremors rushing through her.  Raising her chin, she angled her head and brushed his mouth with hers.

As his tongue delved into her mouth, he moved his hips, drilling her into the bed, sending her screaming into her release, letting her drag him into it with her.

Finding the energy to move he rolled over and tossed the condom in the trash, rolling back to curl around her.  "Stephanie, darlin', you're so quiet.  Are you all right?"

Grasping the hand that was draped over her middle she turned her head, "I'm just... that was... holy shit Rich.  I can't even think straight right now."

He chuckled, give me a little bit and we can see if I can't make you stop thinking all together."

~

When she opened her eyes daylight was starting to filter through the crack in the drapes.  It was morning and she needed to get back to her room and pack for home.  Silently she slipped from the bed to gather her clothes.  Taking one last longing look at the man stretched out across the bed she pressed a kiss to her fingers and slid them lightly over his cheek.  "Thank you" she whispered.  "I'll never forget."

With the softest of clicks the door shut behind her.  She closed her eyes and leaned back against it for just a moment.  She was sure she would never see him like this again, but he had given her a night she would remember for the rest of her life and for that she would be forever grateful.

With a small smile she headed to the elevators, reminding herself to call Hath.

She was going to be so jealous.

A Night to Remember...

Thursday, June 3, 2010

God, this couldn’t really be happening, could it? All she wanted to do was sit here, sip on a glass of wine or three and not think about anything. She especially didn’t want to have to put the effort into making small talk with anyone. She was too spent from the show she had just been to. It had totally kicked her ass. As had the two earlier in the week. But how could she not talk to him? And why were her friends not here right now to keep her from making a total ass of herself? She shook her head and sipped the crisp, cold sauvignon blanc. None of them could make it, but she had been determined to see these shows. She didn’t have anyone to answer to anymore so why not?

She looked over at him; he was still talking to whomever. He held up a finger as if to say, just one more minute. Sighing, she picked up her own phone. She had to text someone and let them know what was happening. Finding the picture she wanted to send, she tapped out a message.

[12:10] Y’all will never guess who I’m with! And WTH aren’t you here?!

Hitting send she took another sip of wine and ran a hand over her hair. Why had he even sought her out? She had tucked herself in a corner, not wanting to be noticed. She hadn’t even considered the possibility that the band would be here. Yet, here they were, all fresh and clean after the sweat-a-thon they had put the crowd through for the last three hours. She felt decidedly wilted. Pulling the mirror out of her bag she tried to assess the damage. Not as bad as she thought, but not pre-show fresh either. Tucking the mirror away her phone started vibrating. She smiled, one of her friends was still awake.

[12:12] OMFG, really? Say hi from Hath and pinch his ass for me. Call me in the AM! :)

She shook her head. She loved her friends, but sometimes, they were just no help at all. Taking the last sip of her wine she wondered if she should just leave him to his call and head to her room. Just as she was about to gather her things he slipped the phone into his shirt pocket.

He studied her for a moment as she finished her wine. Dark, curly hair hung past slim shoulders and fell halfway down her slender back. Her shirt was pale purple and stopped just at the waist of her dark jeans. Not his usual type but then again, his usual type wasn’t really working for him lately. Maybe it was time to try something new. “Sorry about that darlin’.”

She waved her hand, “it’s okay.”

He signaled to the bar tender, “care for another?”

She nodded, “thanks.”

“You got a name darlin’?”

Again she nodded. “Stephanie.”

He looked around and then back at her. “So, Stephanie, you here all alone?” He hoped so. He didn’t want to have to talk up a whole bunch of women. He had his eye on just this one; had had it on her ever since he walked in and saw her sitting in the corner, alone.

Stephanie took a sip of the wine that had been set in front of her. God he said her name in that California-Jersey-gravel-mixed-with-whiskey voice of his. If he smiled and flashed that dimple, she was so done. “Yeah, none of my friends could make it tonight.”

“That’s too bad.” He slid his hand across the table, tips of his long fingers caressing hers. She wore no ring on that all important finger of her left hand, just one on the middle finger of each hand. “Is there a husband or boyfriend I should be worried about?”

“Nope.” Not anymore. She turned her hand over, letting her fingers curl slightly with his.

“It must be my lucky night then. I’ve got the most beautiful woman in the bar all to myself.”

Stephanie felt herself turn about seven shades of red. “You might want to put your glasses on and look again.”

He smiled and the dimple winked at her. “I don’t need them darlin’. I can see you just fine.”

Her heartbeat kicked up several notches at the sight of his dimple. He really was an outrageous flirt. She took a fortifying sip of wine. “So, do you need to socialize with anyone or do I get your undivided attention for the rest of the night?”

“Stephanie darlin’” he winked, “I’m all yours for as long as you’ll have me.”

Oh boy. Forever and a day was her immediate thought. Before she could utter the words she clamped her mouth shut. She couldn’t say that to him.

“What?” She was about to say something and stopped. “Come on darlin’. Was my offer that awful?” His fingers slid higher, lightly brushing back and forth across the delicate skin of her wrist.

She shook her head. “No, not at all. It’s just… ah the hell with it.” She wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip by. Her friends would never let her hear the end of it. Taking a last drink from her glass she channeled her inner Hath. “Well, darlin’ I can only ‘have’ you for a few hours before I need a break. BUT, I’m pretty sure I’ll never get bored with you, so looks like your mine forever.”

The laugh started somewhere around his belly and he had to toss his head back as it roared out of him. He hadn’t expected that at all. Standing, he held out his hand to her, “Stephanie, I don’t know about forever, so why don’t we start with tonight and see where that takes us?”

She looked from his hand to his face. He was smiling and his eyes were alight with laughter. Grabbing her purse she stood and took his hand. “Where are you taking me?”

He led her out of the bar and toward the elevators, “somewhere a lot more private.”
