Slippery When Wet: Jon Bon Jovi Talks New Music In Shower Scene

Female fans fantasizing about seeing Jon Bon Jovi in the buff were halfway there Thursday morning (Aug. 11) when the singer shared a clip of himself in the shower.
The video -- shot by a cameraman demanding to know how many days are left before Bon Jovi's new single "This House is Not for Sale" drops -- zeroes in on the New Jersey native as he emerges from the steam.
"Are you kidding me?" he asks before writing out the answer on the shower door. "One..more...day!"
The clip -- shared on Bon Jovi's social media pages -- is part of a fun countdown to the Aug. 12 launch of the single and video. The album -- produced by John Shanks -- will be released in partnership with Island/Universal Music Group.

Palestinian group to Bon Jovi: Cancel show in Israel

Middlesex County, where the members of Bon Jovi are from, is one of the the more diverse places in the United States and everyone seems to get along pretty well.

Unfortunately, it's not like that in other parts of the world. A group called the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, which refers to the unrest between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples as "colonial oppression," is calling for a boycott of the Bon Jovi October 3 show in Tel Aviv.
"We ask the members of the band, Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, and Tico Torres, to reconsider their concert in apartheid Israel, until Israel complies with international law and respects the rights of the indigenous Palestinian people," states the Palestinian group on www.change.org.
A spokesman for the band stated, on Wednesday, July 8, that Bon Jovi is indeed playing the October 3 show.
"It's important to us to show people around the world that Israel is not what they see on CNN," said concert promoter Shay Mor Yosef to Ynetnews.com. "This is a historical event and we hope the Israeli audience embraces it."
Bon Jovi has also announced shows in China, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Abu Dhabi. The Palestinian group appealed to frontman Jon Bon Jovi's concerns for human rights to cancel the Tel Aviv show.
"We know that through his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation he helps 'combat issues that force families and individuals into economic despair,'" said the group. "Israel's crimes against the Palestinian people have caused enormous despair, death, injury, and displacement, to millions of people."
The Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement, or "BDS," has some traction. Lauryn Hill canceled an Israeli concert after receiving pressure from BDS members, according to the Jerusalem Post, and more than 700 British artists, including Roger Waters, Brian Eno and Richard Ashcroft, pledged they will not "will not engage in business-as-usual cultural relations with Israel."
The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel has targeted numerous other artists, including Green Brook resident Gloria Gaynor of "I Will Survive" fame.
Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, for whom Jon Bon Jovi just hosted a fundraiser in Red Bank on June 29, has spoken out against the BDS movement in a letter to Clinton donor and pro-Israel billionaire Haim Saban that was published byTalkingpointsmemo.com.
"BDS seeks to punish Israel and dictate how the Israelis and Palestinians should resolve the core issues of their conflict. This is not the path to peace," Clinton said. "Particularly at a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise across the world — especially in Europe — we need to repudiate forceful efforts to malign and undermine Israel and the Jewish people."
The Palestinian Bon Jovi petition has 1,890 supporters.

[via press release from CBS]

CBS NEWS ANNOUNCES THE LEGENDS AND NEWSMAKERS FOR "PERSON TO PERSON," A CBS NEWS BROADCAST SPECIAL ON WEDNESDAY, FEB. 8 (8:00 PM, ET/PT)

CO-HOSTS LARA LOGAN AND CHARLIE ROSE TAKE YOU INSIDE THE HOMES OF GEORGE CLOONEY AND JON BON JOVI, AND INTO THE PRIVATE OFFICE OF WARREN BUFFETT

CBS News' iconic PERSON TO PERSON will air as a television special on Wednesday, Feb. 8 (8:00 PM, ET/PT). Meet today's legends and newsmakers, not in public, but in private - inside their homes, inside their lives. George Clooney gives Logan and Rose a tour of his Los Angeles home, while Warren Buffett opens the door to his Omaha office, and Jon Bon Jovi welcomes PERSON TO PERSON to his 16-acre New Jersey estate that includes a recording studio and its own pub. Actor George Clooney, billionaire Warren Buffett and rocker Jon Bon Jovi share their most prized possessions and the unforgettable stories behind them.

"What sets our broadcast apart is the unique access," says Executive Producer Susan Zirinsky.

"When someone opens their home, they're sharing a part of themselves that traditional interview programs can't reach," added Co-Executive Producer Judy Tygard.

When he originated the broadcast in 1953, Edward R. Murrow took viewers into the homes of icons like John and Jacqueline Kennedy, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, and Elizabeth Taylor. Today, more than 50 years later, the allure of a rare glimpse behind the public personas of some of our most beloved and respected cultural icons remains. PERSON TO PERSON shows you how Hollywood's most popular leading man unwinds away from the lenses of the paparazzi, where perhaps the world's most successful investor conducts his billion-dollar deals, and the home studio where one of the world's most legendary rockers composes and records his music.

Building on Murrow's legacy, Logan and Rose will bring PERSON TO PERSON to a new generation. Susan Zirinsky and Judy Tygard are the co-executive producers of the broadcast.
