Bon Jovi's "Circle" in Santiago
Jon Bon Jovi and his quintet will have the National Stadium in Nunoa re-opened to major events on October 1st as part of Bon Jovi’s new full-length CD ‘The Circle’. Chile’s concert will be part of the band’s worldwide tour, which will also hit Brazil and Argentina.
The last time the legendary rock band performed in Chile, 65,000 fans gathered to shout out at Bon Jovi’s anthem ‘Living on a Prayer’ 17 years ago. At least 45,000 fans are expected to await the quintet on October 1st to sing along to the band’s new hits.
Touring worldwide for now more than 26 years, save for a first hiatus in the early 1990′s and a second one in the early 2000′s, Bon Jovi has played in more 50 countries and attended more than 2,600 venues. The band touring revenues last year ranked ninth amongst the most prolific of all.
Some worries arose that Bon Jovi’s lead-singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi would not be able to attend the ‘Circle Tour’ after he sustained a torn calf muscle on Friday July 9th during a concert at the band’s hometown New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. However an official statement from the band confirmed two days later that no venue would be canceled.
